Thumbs up Great thread Ben!

As I mentioned in the previous thread, I have gained so much from this site that I can not begin to quantify into words..
Well said Ben, and I couldn't agree more. I can't even begin to explain how much I learn by writing out hand play threads. Forcing myself to really think through these has taken my poker thinking process to a completely different level. And our chat room is already proving to have tremendous potential. Not only is it a blast to have friends railing for you when you make it deep, but it's also tremendously helpful to get feedback from others on how the table is playing, etc. Not to mention how the temptation to 'implode' diminishes when others are cheering you on.

That being said I would like to hear your thoughts on how we can each give back and make this an even better site... I know we all can't donate money all the time but I also know that donations are at an all time low.. Donations are not the point of this site nor the drive of Scott Cook, but if we can all give back when we win something big (a relative term) it will only help to make it an even better tool for use..

How can we get more people to donate when they win something big that they feel was a result of BADBEATSPOKER.NET ... I hope I am not coming across as someone that thinks their donation should come with a plaque but rather an individual that appreciates what he has gained from this community...
Well said again Ben. This site is totally free, and exists on donations alone. We certainly don't expect others to contribute as much as you have, but it would be very helpful to us if a donation is made whenever our members make a decent cash.

On that note, we've even discussed creating a '1% club'. Members who are active here and feel this site helps their game would voluntarily donate 1% any time they have a nice score. So for example, if someone wins $1,000, then they'd donate $10 to help us cover our expenses, continue to grow and add new features.

So as I mentioned I would like my donation to go to a free roll/small entry buy in to help grow our site.. In an effort to bring back old members and to add new ones to the site... The more members we have the more input we receive and the better we all become... So how can we best achieve this goal??? Do we throw a big event with this money and other BBP money to make a big splash or do we just put on several small events here and there??
This is a great idea Ben, and very generous of you. I think we should do a regular $20 buy-in game, and add $500 to the prize pool - possibly as our one year anniversary game or something along those lines...

It would also be exciting to hear what you have gained from this site and how it has helped your game both live or online???
Looks like Ben put a whole month's worth of great ideas all in one consolidated post.
