I feel that the most active members of the forum have all improved together, from players just learning to even the most advanced players so I personally like the idea of creating some sort of "special group" for members willing to commit 1% of their big wins (lets say maybe $1000 or more). The group would obviously be optional, but hopefully could become popular.
I think members would feel the best about donating when it is only a tiny fraction of a large win. However, over time these tiny fractions add up for the site a lot and we can begin to do very fun things with the money taken in. Some ideas I personally like are...
1. A payout to the top finishers of the BBP online league
2. Monthly (Quarterly/Yearly?) freerolls to VIP members
3. Complimentary merchandise for reaching certain post counts (once the store is opened)
Most of these things will be unable to launch immediately and simultaneously, however they definitely are very legitimate possibilities.
