Poker Websites

What are favorites and why? I haven't played online yet. However, some people have told me about places where EVERY winning hand is something big. It sounds somewhat unrealistic to think that a majority of the winning hands are full house or better.

online poker is very different, if your playing a classic ring game, the winning hands are most likely pretty big because no1 really folds in an online ring game, people will pay to see the flop almost everytime.

I've only played on Full Tilt, but I can't see how anything could be better. There are plenty of games at any buy-in, the software is awesome and the competition is extremely tough (for most of us).

At VERY low levels on some sites every winning hand is something big but that is because everyone will chase all way down to the river. In my opinion online poker is very real and you will be suprised what a good game you will get. As for my favourite sites I will rate everyone I have played at for you.

Paddy Power(ipoker network) 9
+$4400. This is where I have won most my money with some very average players. The site is very user friendly and its only bad point is that its loyalty system isnt great(players here are getting better).

Sun Poker(cryptological network) 5
-$200. Maybee Im being a little harsh rating it as 5 but I dont like losing money. The games on this site arent as good as blinds go up very quickly and luck plays a bigger part than it should. Its rakeback deals are great but in my opinion software on a whole is very poor, worst I have seen.

Full Tilt 7
+$450. People on this forum will be discusted at me giving Full Tilt a 7 but I play poker to win money. I have only been here a month but once my bonus is complete it will not be my main site, the games here are very tough, much tougher than any site I have played at, even the bad players seem to at least understand when to push ect. Loyalty and software wise this is the best site I have come across.

Bodog 10
+$800. I hardly ever play on this site as Im in England and can get no action at my peak times. However it is very rare I play on Bodog for more than 1 hour without winning money. If it supported sharkscope I believe I would be some kind of great white! Although I believe the competition is improving it is still as bad as it gets(just play a tight game). Software wise I love it but loyalty programe is very poor.

Party Poker 5
+$150. Didnt play here long, didnt like it.

888 6
+$200. Didnt play here long, ok but very basic.
PS all these sites are rated for sngs only.

Well I am a true believer in PokerStars now. I lost all damn day long on Full Tilt today. Suckout after suckout. I went over to PokerStars....I did not play any differently, I played around the same $$ levels.

I cashed in 4 of 5 games I played tonight.

I'm starting to think there's something to it.........can't prove it obviously, but I can at least say I prefer it.

I think it's completely normal to go through spells where you feel like one site is out to screw you over and over again, but this just isn't the case.

Look up any of the high volume MTT players on Official Poker Rankings, and you'll see that their ITM and ROI are nearly always identical on both sites.

Before signing up for a new site you may want to check pokerlistings.com and rakeback.com The first site for some information and reviews, the second for a possible rakeback offer on signup. I had signed up for several poker rooms before I knew that there were ways of getting a portion of your rake back. Apparently once you have already signed up for a site, you can't go back and resign to get a rakeback deal. Some of the default signup bonusus are nice, but you may never release the full amount in the required time and once they are used up, they are gone.

Thankyou very much, Im happy being known as the guy from England. Just for you since I wrote that thread Ive been on 2 more sites, here are my ratings. Ps if you are in America you may not be allowed on some of the sites in my origional post but are fully welcomed at these two new ones.

Vegas 007 6
-$90 This is a very new site which is trying to break into the untapped asian market $$$$$. So far Ive lost money here but have been super unlucky as the competition is very poor. As yet the site has not taken off and the biggest game you will find is cash table .25 .50. It also hasnt got player notes yet But I truly believe it is one for the future.

Cake Poker 10
+$1100 This is where I currently play and ranks alongside Bodog as my favourite site. The opposition is not great (sng sharks have moved in) unlike some other sites I 100% trust it (you rarely get dealt kk when someone has aa) and its loyalty programe is great. mtts have super weak players. There is not a thing I would change with this site, like Bodog with a loyalty programe.
