first time online

Well, I was playing some "play money" games on fulltilt for a little bit to get used to online play. I tried a couple of tables but there seemed to be too many people that wanted to pay any amount to see the flop. Later on, I'd see what they'd call on and it was just stupid.

The play money tables are totally insane. I'd recommend using them only until you get used to the software. After that, the sooner you get to the real money, the better. Just try your hardest to stick to the 5% bankroll rule though.

I used up $1,000 in play money twice before quitting last night. I actually played okay, lost it on people staying in for the hell of it and getting lucky draws. I have to keep those games in perspective I guess.

Those play money tables are not representative of real money poker play. Try small limits or play limit for a while until you are comfortable.

Yeah, that's what I'm going to do. I definitely wanted to get used to the different features of the game before throwing money into it.

I'll probably jump on tonight and start playing for real.

I've played a few more play money games. I actually found a decent table with decent players not trying to play stupid. (not that I am smart) I'm still a little nervous about putting the real thing on the table.
