Should I have gone all in preflop?
Should I have gone all in on the flop?

No slow play required, get it in preflop... But of course their is some logic to slow playing this hand with your chip stack but I prefer getting it in preflop in the current situation.

I dont agree. Shoving 14 bbs utg+1 will make you miss a ton of value at a very critical stage of the tournament.

The bubbel factor also apply, if you shove people will tighten their calling range a bit since its bubbel. But if you raise your opponents might wanna exploit the bubbel and do something too creative (you might wanna check if there is any scandies cause you will get 3-bet every time) to push you off your holding. I'd make my late game standard raise of 2,5x, this might give villains the illusion of more fold equity.

This is also as I said a very critical stage of the tournament. You wanna doubbel up here and I'm willing to risk going busto to do it.

As played we can see villain doing critical mistakes both calling preflopp (no implied odds) and obv on flopp.

If the stacks were bigger I like checking back to villain on turn to let him fire 100% of his range at me. While he might just fold a hand like 66 if he dont hit his magical two outer. With these stacks I like just shoving.

    Well played and very unlucky.

I think you played this hand great. Shoving pre is just too large of a raise and you are likely to only pick up the blinds w AA where you should be getting much more value. A shove on the flop would have been okay but he would have folded 66... so by betting your on the flop, he's calling 5bb's drawing to 2 outs... great situation, just unlucky.

thanks..i was curikous, especially in the difference between my 3/4 pot bet on the flop and just shoving there

i was thinking that if he'd caught anything, he would have to push me or call and then id defintley get it in on the turn, and that if he had nothing or not much, he'd fold regardless....well..except for him not doing that as it turned out

For what its worth, I would've open shoved this hand. Even if you did just pick up the blinds its $1050 in chips and you'd still have your chips and your chair. Also, if he called the 2000 raise he would've called a 6000 raise.

Be satisfied with only picking up the blinds in this hand is too result oriented in my opinion. 66 gonna spike a set 1/7 times. If I can doubbel up the rest of them I really dont mind going busto 1/7 for a shot at a top finish in the tournament. Caring about busting on the bubbel is for weak players and all we should care about is how to exploit they're lack of money.

And claiming he would ve called a 6000 raise just as much as a 2000 raise is wrong IMO.

Not to throw your entire gameplan out for all to see on a public forum, but out of couriosity, are you raising the same with hands you are looking to steal with to limit your risk or are you going to jam those hands on the bubble to maximize fold equity against the scared money?

Yes I always raise my nuts 2,5x and jam everything else.... No I dont. That would be kinda stupid.

Whether I raise or jam depends on a bunch of things. Here I'm raising. If we had 3800 chips here its not like im limping, then of course I'm jamming.

For instance if a reg is bb and im sb with these stacks im jamming this about 95% of the time.

But im not the kind of player who jams every time I get under 15 bbs and stop open raising.

I play as played with a smaller raise pre inviting players to call with hands like this. Well played, he made a BRUTAL call on the flop and one of those questionable ones pre with his implied odds in mind...
