Line Check from Nick's Shark Tank

    Live game at NST.

    $1/$2 NL. Fairly loose table

Villain $400 UTG straddles to $4
Hero $240 UTG +2 opens to $18 with:

    Folds around to Villain.
Villain says "let's gamble" and calls.

    Pot $40

    FLOP:

    Villain checks
    Hero bets $27
    Villain calls

    Pot $94

    TURN:

    Villain checks
    Hero bets $75
    Villain calls

    Pot $244

    RIVER:

    Villain checks

Should Hero bet thin for value, or just stick it in there? Also, how was bet sizing through out?

Hero only has $120 left, and there is $244 in the pot. I don't think Hero has any real choice here, except to put the rest of his chips in the pot. And then the villain will be getting > 3:1 to call on the river, which is good.

I also want to clarify the phrase "betting thin". That means betting for value when it's not obvious you have the winning hand. If you could choose to bet $5 or $500 on the river, that wouldn't change whether or not it's a "thin" value bet. And it's normally not done with top two pair. More likely, a "thin value bet" on the river might happen when you bet with second pair - trying to get bottom pair, or even a hand as weak as ace high to pay you off.

Also, how was bet sizing through out?
I like it, but I don't know much about cash games.

It was a while ago but I was the 2nd or 3rd person to walk in to the place and put my name on the list. I went to the bathroom and came back and the game started without me. I wasn't upset or anything but I tell the guy working what happened and asked if I could be first on the waiting list. He said no. I argued my point respectfully giving my reasoning on why it's fair to put my first on the list instead of 4th or 5th. Normally I wouldn't even care but there was a huge fish in the game so I wanted to get in fast. He immediately started being disrespectful towards me. He said something similar to "this is my club, this ain't a fuckin democracy what I say goes. You are starting to get pissed off right now so you can stop fuckin arguing with me." Because of how quick he was to get upset over nothing I kinda just assumed he was an idiot and there is no hope of getting in the game. I don't remember how the conversation went but from my point of view this is what it sounded like lol

"fuckin fuck fuck fuck fuck disrespect fuck I'm the boss this is my club when I'm here I run it, owner put me in charge fuck fuck fuck pissing me off"
    "why are you so mad"
"I'm getting pissed off fuckity fuck fuckaroo now I'm really pissed off disrespect I'm in charge, you can just listen to what I say and shut up fuck fuck fuck."
"Why are you yelling at me?"
*slams door to cage and walkes outside while still yelling "fuckity fuck pissing me off wish he would just shut the fuck up."
I feel really awkward since I'm getting screamed at for no reason so I put my name on the bottom of the list, sneak out for a half an hour to let it cool down and come back (the fish is still there otherwise I'd just leave). I sit in a corner by myself waiting for my turn to get in trying to avoid him. He starts screaming at me after he notices me and tells me how disrespectful I was to come back and tells me to leave. I tell him that I think he's really unprofessional and leave. I email the owner my phone number and tell him that I don't think that's a good way to run a business and try to talk to him (to be honest I was over it and kinda was just hoping to get some free use fees or something lol). Later that day I'm at home and the guy (not the owner) calls me to continue yelling at me. This is right after I got done telling my roommates the story so I had him on speaker and stopped being respectful to him. I'm not angry or yelling, but instead of stopping talking everytime he interrupted me I started talking over him. I tell him I think his IQ can't be higher than a squirrel, post the story on their facebook page and google, and get lifebanned. A year and a half later they run a $1000 tournament that had to be the softest 1k of all time and I'm banned

Oh and IMO hero should stick it in like Teddy KGB

edit: actually I think he lifebanned me on the phone and then I posted on the facebook. Not 100% on that though. About 4 months later I went in there before they opened all pride to the side telling him how wrong I was and how he is the man in a no shame attempt at not being banned from the softest room in Columbus lol. Failed though.
