PS and Ftp crashing regularly on laptop...Help!

Today was rough! Very regularly one or both poker clients would freeze up/crash resulting in all sorts of confusion/stress. It seemed to be an issue with the internet connection from my end...except the other guys playing on the same line didn't have the same problems as me.

Has anybody had this happen before? Any fixes I can try? Thanks for any help!

I just installed the new Full Tilt software update on both of my computers. Neither one will run Full Tilt for more than 30 seconds now without crashing. Emailing them now...

My FTP has been doing this for a few months...

Im wiping my computer totally out... getting rid of vista... and upgrading to windows 7 this weekend... (well Im paying sombody to do this for me)

which brings me to another interesting point...

has anybody ever tried saving thier notes before a computer change? Im sure theres a simple file that you could save and input into FTP when you re-install it...

might even be interested in buying notes of a person like Scott who I know keeps excellent notes

My programs are crashing non-stop on both computers in less than a minute. There's no way you have what I have, and have been living with it for a few months.

Easy. Just copy and paste the C:/Program Files/Full Tilt Poker/stackinsideways.xml file and copy it to your desktop. Then copy it back into the same location after you reinstall the software.

    Exclamation

Here is the response I received from Full Tilt.

    Hello Scott,

Thank you for contacting Full Tilt Poker Support.

We kindly ask that you reinstall the Full Tilt Poker software.

If you have saved player notes in the software that you don't want to lose, follow these three steps to back up this information first:

    1) On the "Start" menu, click on "My Computer".
    2) Select your main hard drive (usually "C:"), "Program Files", and "Full Tilt Poker". If you saved the software to a different location than the default directory when you installed it, go there instead.
    3) Locate file called "[YourPlayerID].xml". The text in square brackets will be your actual Player ID on Full Tilt Poker. Copy this file and paste it on to your desktop.

Please reboot your computer and follow these nine steps to reinstall the software:

    1) Click on the "Start" menu and select "Control Panel".
    2) Click on "Add or Remove Programs", select "Full Tilt Poker", and click on "Change/Remove" to uninstall the program.
    3) Delete the file called "Fulltiltsetup.exe" from the location you saved it to when you installed the software.
    4) Click on the "Start" menu and select "Run...".
    5) In the window that appears, type the following in the text space: regedit
    6) Click "OK".
    7) Expand the "HKEY_CURRENT_USER" folder and then the "Software" folder. Locate the "Full Tilt Poker" folder and delete it.
    8) Expand the "HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE" folder and then the "Software" folder. Locate the "Full Tilt Poker" folder and delete it.
    9) Reboot your computer.

Once you have completed these steps, download and install the Full Tilt Poker software at: Online Poker - Play Online at Full Tilt Poker Room

If you are still experiencing difficulties or if there's anything else we can help you with, please let us know.

    Regards,
