MTTs have always been my favorite thing to play, but on FT I'm currently down over 20k in them after over 2000 games. Meanwhile, I'm up about 40k in SNGs. My plan for about the past year has been to play MTTs while grinding the 45 or 90 mans in order to fight variance. I know that variance is huge in MTTs, and I don't think I'm a terrible MTT player, but my graph and results show that I have a lot to improve on. I've decided to stop playing them for the rest of May and maybe longer. It bothers me...

Hey guys. So my name is Brett Cooke. I'm a 21-year old student at UMass Amherst. I'm one semester away from graduating with a computer science degree, but what I'm really passionate about is sports and poker.

I got started in poker like pretty much everybody else with the whole Moneymaker boom. At first, I just played small tournament-style home games with my friends. I was instantly hooked.. I watched a lot of poker on TV, read some books, and began to play a lot online in freeroll...

You know I've been looking for a good place to start blogging about my poker career, and I think I'll just start doing it here on BBP. Mostly I plan on just posting personal challenges for myself and tracking the results. I like the idea of blogging because I think it will keep me motivated and give me a place to talk about my ups and downs. It doesn't really seem like many people update their blogs all that often.. but I'll try my best to update frequently!
