    Workings of a Poker Club

For people like Bruce who I know own a piece of a club, Scott who owns his own business, and any others who have input, I was curious on your thoughts of starting up a poker club. I have someone who has money and would be interested in investing in starting one up in the area with me managing it/partial ownership.

Is there money to be made here?
How do the Casinos moving to town affect them?
Whats an ideal start up $ number we could be looking at. (Rent/Tables/Chips/Office Supplies etc.)
    Any word to the wise?

I have always been interested in doing something like this after seeing so many clubs in the Columbus area, but am cautious of doing this with Cinci/Columbus having casinos move in the area.

    1. A ton of money to be made.
    2. No one knows.
    3. Really depends on how big you want to start out, i.e. number of tables, size of the room/rent, freerolls, add ons, etc. Probably anywhere from $8,000 - $20,000.
    4. You can always call me to talk.

I just wish I had full control of the Bike. As of right now, I have zero control while the club has shown signs of slowing down with no signs of growth.

Nick with the Horseshoe opening up in less than a year I am not sure it would be a good investment at this time. It is also heavily dependent on law enforcement in the area. Even though the clubs have operated without harrasment in the central Ohio region several have opened and closed in northern Ohio due to pressure from law enforcement.
Much will be learned come this fall as to how the clubs do while the casino is open.
