Douche Bags: According to D-Nut
I've found a pattern forming.

And besides....it's just Ryan, and he hopefully knows I'm not just throwing stones.
But my thoughts on 95% of the people that check dark......are that they are douche-bags. They saw it on TV and think it looks cool, and have no idea what kind of advantage, if any, they are trying to utilize.
Now, I always try to tell it like it is, or at least how I feel, but I also try to be fair.....and it seems like Ryan has a very legitimate reason for why he uses this move....and it may help him achieve a profit regularly. Notice...I said 95% But the mass majority of people I see use this move, are trying to be the cocky dick at the table who wants to prove that he has game.....when in all reality he has no game at all.
One thing that Ryan said stuck out to me though....and that he uses it with drawing hands....and that is what I find almost everytime as well.....and when someone checks dark into me.....and the board comes pretty raggedy....I almost always will bet the flop....knowing that they are simply trying to disguise whether they drew out.
Unfortunately, one of my favorite players, Phil Hellmuth overuses this move, so I suppose it must serve some purpose.....but again, the mass majority of the people you see at the brick and mortar room using this move are simply d-bags.
My opinion.....and I have plenty of them....mostly controversial, but this should at least get people talking

When i play live i check dark alot. Maybe if im inthe SB 10 people limp and i got 45 J5 or something shitty. hoping to hit 3 of a kind straight two pair then no one knows whats going on.
I am a douchbag big time at live tables. I usually control live cash game tables and it gives me a huge advantage. I talk so much smack to people they acllme with garbage just because they think or are trying to catch me bluffing its awesome. I had 3 sessions in 1-2 at Planet hollywood last time i went. I played around 7 hours each time. I made 600-800 each time. the reason because i was preaching that i was the best player who ever played 1-2. Had some dude go all in for 300 with air on my straight. Honestly because i was talking shit.
Another guy comes sits down a real bad mood. So i go to him you know who i am right. I am one of the best players. SO he gets really pissed and is like going at me why am i playing 1-2 so i laugh at him.. he sat down for 300. i took it all in 25 minutes. He was getting mad cuz i was checking in the dark to him and laughinn lol so it works

I am a huge douche bag actually. I'm such a huge douche sun glasses wearer that I I have a pair of Oakley's that I wear over another pair of Oakley's. Then I have a third pair that I have wear backwards so that the eyes in the back of my head are covered. There is also a 4th pair that I wear in my, well... you get the idea.

What did everyone think about Dwan's suggestion that sunglasses be outlawed at poker tables? He seemed to have a lot of support.

I agree with him 100%. Like he said....if you're going to cover your eyes, where does it stop? Spacesuit? Ski mask?
Takes a very important part of the live game out of the equation....
But I guess in the new age of people playing the mass majority of their hands online....this element of the game has been phased out....so I dunno.

People wearing sunglasses at the table is less frequent than it was a few years back. It's also been a par tof the game since like the year 400BC.
I don't really see an issue wiht it or a good reason to outlaw it. If you're worried about people covering their entire face wiht hooides..outlaw that. If you're worried about masks or some crap, outlaw that. But Dwan picked a very specific item, the sunglasses. Very interesting.
