    Where are people playing?

Hi everyone - back before black Friday, I used to peruse this site for the excellent advice on playing the 45 player tournaments, etc. Since I was new to online poker, I learned a whole lot and was really starting to "get it" when Full Tilt was shut down. I'm really getting the bug again and although I live just about 45 minutes away from live poker at the Tunica, MS casinos, it's tough to get away to play and also be a decent husband and dad. I was wondering if any BBP Americans are able to play on any sites? If so, what sites and how has your experience been there?

Used to play a decent amount on Cake. Then I switched to Merge (Carbon). I am getting in good volume there, relatively speaking. With the Lock/Revolution acquisition of Cake, I have again picked up my volume on Cake.

Rakeback is unreal for both sites, up to 35% via an affiliate. Cash outs are the biggest concern for US players. I made my initial deposit on Carbon via Western Union. Therefore, I am able to make cash outs via WU. The fee is $30 and I get the funds within 3-4 days. However, from what I understand, those who didn't make their initial deposit via WU do not have the WU cash out option. Looks like checks are taking up to 6 weeks. I have successfully cashed out $1800 on Carbon via WU. I have not yet requested a cash out from Cake. I hear that cash outs via checks are taking up to 5 months. That will only improve now that Lock has taken over.

A third site I have played on is True. They run a decent amount of micro tournaments. I hate their software though. So much that I refuse to play there even though they offer good value. I think that their cash outs are somewhere between Revolution and Merge.

One thing I forgot to mention is that money can be swapped or sold to a number of people on PTP, 2+2, and even BBP for .80 - .95 on the dollar.

Good luck. I know that any of the sites will help you to get your fix in.

I have been playing Bovada lately, I am about to cash out so i will let you know how long it takes. The numbers are low (can't seem to find a place where it tells us how many is on the site), but they have been getting 75-200 MTT. most of their gtee's are always short by 1-500 $ so everything has a little extra value.

played some on carbon and the merge network, gonna check out lock i think. but they all suck compared to FTP and Stars!

Merge has had 10-15k peeps per night last few times i played there?

forgot to mention bovada adds a 4.9 percent charge to your deposit using visa, plus there is a international charge of a few bucks added.

I have been playing on Bovada since last November off and on. It was still Bodog in November when I made my first cash out for a little over 600 dollars. That cash out by check took a little over 2 weeks to hit my mailbox. I have since cashed out 500 and some change in April (under bovada) and it took a little over 3 weeks to hit my mail box, and 800 and some change in June of this year and it came just a couple weeks ago - a little over 3 weeks again. I have always got my checks, and they have always deposited in my account with no issues. I don't keep much in my account, and when I double the amount I usually just cash out. I am not a great player by any means - wasn't even a winning player on Tilt and Stars, but I am a winning player on Bovada. The Cash players are HORRIBLE (At .50-1.00 and 1-2 based on experience.) There are no nicknames anymore, when you sit at any table it just shows the seat number your in, not a screen name. Makes it hard to "bum hunt", but from what I have seen in my small samples, 80% of the field at the cash tables are there to give away money anyways.

Thanks for the info, Shane! Looks like Bovada doesn't have a mac client, and I use both macs and pc's depending on whether or not I am sitting in front of our desktop or playing on my laptop.
