Poker Stars vs. Full Tilt
Ok lets get a good debate going on this topic. Why do you prefer one over the other?
I do have to admit that although I prefer Full Tilt, Poker Stars has really stepped it up w/there new Guarantee structure.. Wow they have some great events going on on a weekly basis.. Like the famous Sunday Million that is now 1.5m and the warm up is 1m w/ the same buy in as before..
So I might be interested in playing a little over there from time to time but lets hear why you think one is better than the other.. And no bad beat stories as your reasoning.. They are ALL the same.. At least when it comes to poker sites and bad beats.. The reason I post about these two sites would be that they are equal in almost all areas in relationship to players, pros, range of buy ins and traffic..

Well fine, if we're not allowed to say it's because of bad beats (which for me, it is anyway so STFU).......Here is the real reason I prefer PokerStars:
Why would I play anything on Full Tilt anymore when YOU always win everything? That's no effing fun for the rest of us So I'm switching to PokerStars, home of the anti-Suver

Stars cause I am a fish bowl on Full tilt and I need a new online image...LMAO! A fresh start if you will.
For the record I hate online poker period and I can say this w/o losing any sleep... "I have not lost a dime of my WSOP winnings to any online poker site." I have not made any deposits and that is probably the biggest reason why! I don't plan on it either unless I play one of the bad beats tourneys. They make it so hard to deposit money that it keeps bad online players away like myself! HA!!!

I used to play exclusively on Stars. They have the biggest tournys, most traffic, great support etc...
However, my screen name on Stars had the name of my old company in it, and Stars won't let me change it. They say it would be an unfair disadvantage to those who may track me. Whatever, I was a small stakes player, I won a few tournys in my time there, I highly doubt me changing my name would have such a profound impact on any of the players who may have "known" me.
So I refuse to ever play on Stars again, until I open a new account with a new name.
At first it took a while to get used to the Full Tilt layout and tourny structure, times etc, but now that I am used to it, I prefer FTP over Stars.

I'm also interested in hearing from those who regularly play on both sites. I've only played on Full Tilt so far, and can't think of a reason to try any other site. Unless of course I get mad and ban myself for 180 days (cough - Dave, cough - Bill). LOL!

here are my observations...
Full tilt is better in these aspects...
1. over-all look of site...
2. lobby is much better...
3. play is much faster...
4. many more Top Pros play here...
5. allows rake back...(none at stars)
Stars is better in these...
1. Customer service...havent had to deal with them yet but they are easy to get ahold of and much better than FT from what I hear...
2. Withdrawing doesnt seem to be a problem for them...
3. bigger field MTTs...
4. replays of major MTTs...

this is completely false, the FPP system is just misunderstood. if you put in decent volume it is really easy to get much more in rakeback than you would on FT. I am on pace to get 40%+ in rakeback this year.

<3 Stars support they have gone above and beyond for me multiple times.

I have accounts on both sites, and I used to play at Doyle's room - until they stopped letting us Americans play.
Of course, they've opened it back up, but I don't think I need money on THREE sites.
I LOVED Doyle's Room too. I thought it was much more user friendly than PS or FTP.
It's tougher on PS to see the bet sizes than it is on FTP, plus they don't let you change your avatar. I just don't get that.... I understand the name or account issue, but why can't I change my pix once in a while!
The Instant checks do make loading much easier on FTP, although I always hope to avoid the NEED for reloading!
