45-player SNG Challenge - Official Results Thread

[Chipless Wonder]

Originally suggested by Galactus X in this thread, we are going to run a 45-player SNG challenge for the month of December.


The rules are as follows:

1. This challenge is open to any BadBeats forum member and Full Tilt online player who's interested. We already have quite a few 45-player SNG experts, and maybe we can pick up some new members who enjoy friendly competition. If you know someone who is interested have them sign up here and post in this thread no later than December 3rd.

2. This challenge will run for the entire month of December, according to the advanced statistics shown on Sharkscope.

3. Using Sharkscope's Advanced Search feature, the following filters will need to be selected: December 1st through December 31st, 2008, Holdem, NL, Any Speed, All Formats, Any Stakes, 45 Entrants.

4. To calculate points, we'll multiply the square root of the Av. Stake by the Total ROI (Total Profit) / (Games Played):

(√ Av. Stake) x (Av. ROI)

This will reduce the $75 SNG specialist's advantage from ~ 188% to ~ 70%, compared to how it would be if we used a linear formula such as Av. Stake x Av. ROI.

5. Each challenger will be required to play a minimum of 150 45-player SNG games during the month of December. The more you can get in the better, since this will give a truer representation of your skill level in these tournaments.

6. Each challenger will put up $100 in Full Tilt funds, and pay this amount to the challenge winner by January 3rd, 2009.
