Right now my mind is wandering all over the place and it is 5am, but I will try to make this somewhat coherent.
Overall, I am a losing online cash player. I feel like this is mostly do to the fact that I rarely can walk away from a small losing session. I feel I have to chase my loses. More times than not, those small losing sessions turn to big losing sessions. Somewhere along the way I go on monkey tilt and play virtually ATC and/or make big bluffs to win big pots. I don't have a huge problem with bank roll management, especially in tournaments, but my cash game tilt doesn't just cause me to play poorly, but it causes me to disregard everything I have ever learned about preserving my bankroll.
Although, my stats show I am a big loser in online cash, I strongly believe that I am profitable in the levels I am comfortable with ($100nl). When I am focused and playing well, I am able to put together what I believe to be 3 or 4 profitable sessions for every 1 losing session. Unfortunately, every once in a while that losing session happens to wipe me out.
If I am on cash game tilt, I simply cannot practice good BRM. However, I feel I am profitable in cash games when I am mentally stable. It is extremely difficult for me to say "no more cash games" when I know I can make money. It's been said, those who want fortune play cash. Those who want fame play tournaments.
I titled this "Question about Tilt & BRM" although I don't think I really have a specific question. I guess I am looking for our great forum base to simply respond with thoughts, personal experience, advice or whatever.
Thanks.
