Any time you play against Ben (Galactus X) in a hand, then you're likely to receive a bad beat. I think it's because Ben works so hard to always get his money in with the worst possible hand.

Ben 'hung' on to win the tourney and invited me over here. I thought I'd make my first post on the boards a tribute to his obvious lucksackerry.

Believe it or not, he was very gracious with his near bad beat.

The side pot was 3x larger than the main pot... wouldn't have stung too bad to lose to the dueces... but Ben is greedy, greedy, greedy

I've done that to someone before, pretty much the same thing. I had A2, flop was A24, he bet, I shoved (this was cash), he called, showed a set of 2s. Turn and River were 4s, and I took it down. WHEE!!
