I am playing in a 10 person friendly work tournament this weekend and I need some tips on how to place in the money. The top three spots are the bigger payout spots that I want to be in. The crowd is a mixture of good and beginner players. One player placed 40th in the WSOP, so he has played a few hands. Two of the others play poker online so they know what they are doing. The rest either haven’t played at all or “think” they know how to play. I think I probably rank in the middle of the pack. We played over a year ago and I finished in 4th. I tried to play super tight and try to let the crazies eat each other up. I would like so tips on how to avoid or target certain player and take advantage of situations so I can place higher this year. Thanks in advance!
This tournament will have 10,000 chip starting stacks and 20-minute blind levels. Here's our trash-talking thread:
