Arrow Low Stakes Low Volume 45-player SNG Challenge

Contest: Highest ROI in 45 SNG's from $11 and below w/ a minimum of 40 games played at Full Tilt and/or Poker Stars.

    Contest Length: 2/1/09-2/28/09

    Contest Buy-In:$30

Contest Deadline: 2/3/09 ($30 will need to be sent to Chipless Wonder before the deadline)

Scoring System: To calculate points, we'll multiply the square root of the Av. Stake by the Average ROI:

(√ Av. Stake) x (Av. ROI)

We'll use Sharkscope to determine the results. Points will be rounded off (i.e. 99.4 = 99 and 99.5 = 100).

Tie Breaker If there is a tie, the player with the most 45-player SNG games played during February will be the winner.

Payouts: Assuming we have ten or more challengers, we'll pay 50% of the prize pool to first place, 30% to second place and 20% to third place.

    Final payouts will be:

    1st place = $195
    2nd place = $117
    3rd place = $78

All details outlined above will be finalized by contest participants and are subject to change.

    List of Contestants:

    1. Bruce Dye aka Chewbacca Nuts - paid $30 on 1/21/09
    2. Mike Jourden aka Ivan_Drago45 - paid $30 on 1/21/09

Is there any difference in structure/format of the PS vs the FT tourneys? If there is, that might be an issue...

In case anybody is wondering, the 45-man structures are different between fulltilt and pokerstars.

Fulltilt - Pays 6 places, 1500 starting chips, 6 minute levels, 15/30 starting blinds, antes never introduced

Pokerstars - Pays 7 places, 1500 starting chips, 10 minute levels, 10/20 starting blinds, antes start at level 7 (100/200/25)

So 70 minutes into the tourny is when the antes kick in on Pokerstars, Fulltilters will be somehwere between 150/300 and 200/400 70 minutes into the tourny.

That being said, I personally don't care either way. I will gladly included pokerstars in this if it means more competition.

I'm definitely interested. Will the scoring be similer to the last 45 man contest with abi x roi? Or has something better been talked about? Is it possible for someone to post the sharkscope in these perimeters as they are now for the ones interested? (don't have sharkscope yet) Ok Jeff get your name in here

We would most likely keep the scoring system the same but that would be up to group. We could change it however the group wants.. I personally believe the $1.25 games are a little more difficult since there are so many reckless players and the rake is so high, but that is just my opinion. Either way everyone needs to give some input and agree to the details of the contest soon so we can get it started.

Also I agree the two sites have different structures albeit minor, but Scott thought it would be ok to offer both.. I am sure if their is only one person at Poker Stars it would not be that big of a deal.. Also we could change the scoring to reflect the additional cash spot.

I think the two structures are so close, that this is a moot point. Even though there are more payout spots, the payouts are slightly lower, so it all evens out in my view.

Ben, my full tilt screen name is UrMoneyGoesHere, not YourMoneyGoesHere. Just figured I would clarify in case one of the players that were in the competition were trying to look me up to see how I am doing in February...

    Thanks!

Again, I am in. I just reread the December Competetion rules. That format works for me. I'm cool to include PS. Also, I say $10 BI or less. Everyone seems to be okay with whatever the rules may be. I suggest that Ben go ahead and formally outline the rules and "Let's Get it On!"
