The ISOP POTS (Player Of The Series) will be deduced in the usual way...
the square root of the number of players playing multiplied by the square root of the buy-in (not inc. rake but inc. bounty) multiplied by the points assigned to the place that the player comes.
Those points will be assigned as follows:
- The top 50% of the field will receive points
- If the field contains an odd number, the number is rounded up but the player placing in the bottom points spot gets has his/her points halved

- If there is a tie as in the case of a shootout format, the points for each place will be shared pro rata between the players finishing in the same position - ie. joint 3rd in a heads-up shootout will get 11.5 points each (13+10 divided by 2), joint 5th in a heads-up shootout will get 5.25 points (8+6+4+3 divided by 4), joint 7th in a 6-handed shootout will get 2 points each (4+3+2+1+1+1 divided by 6)
- In the case of the rebuy tournament, the buy-in will be considered the average by-in (ie. the total prize pool divided by the number of players)
- if in the case of a heads-up tournament, a player receives a bye thru round 1, they will only receive a pro-rated proportion of the pts earned.
eg if a player gets a bye thru round one and wins by winning three matches instead of 4, they will get 3/4 of the points
If that first round bye puts a player in a share of the points spots, they will not receive points and the points will be distributed evenly between only the players who have earned their way into that round.
