Here's a good one

I have 24,000 in chips, blinds 800/1600 200 ante, final table. At this point in the tourney I'm looking to pick up chips. So I'm really not trying to pass up any chances to open the pot for a raise. Folded to me in middle position i pick up :Jh::10s: and make it 4000 to go. Everyone folds to the big blind, who calls and also has me covered. The flop comes :Jd::8c::3h: , and the BB checks to me. So at this point I feeling good and think I have out flopped my opponent. We where seven handed at this point so the pot is 10,200. I bet out 10,000 leaving me with 9800 behind, the BB instantly re-raises all in.


Call or fold?

That's a tough one for sure. What do you know about how the big blind plays? And what does he/she think of your play at this point?

I would fold, as she like J 8 for some reason.

IT would be a tough decision, but I wouldn't "think" the other person would push if they already hit a set. I would slow play it since it's a rainbow flop. With that much in the pot, I may call...

But then, that's why I fit into the "donkey" profile..

Unless the BB isn't paying attention, he should know how much you have behind, and he should know that you pretty much have to call, so I would say 9/10 times he will have you beat. You almost have to call, getting 4:1 from a 40k pot, unless it's the bubble and there's another really small stack that has a chance to go out before you. I would probably call begrudgingly, and not be suprised when the BB turns over 88. Your best case is that the BB has something like QJ or KJ and you might be able to chop. If he turns over J10 or 1010 you're ecstatic.

I'm going to go with that the BB woke up with a monster overpair and your J10 is probably no good.

However, you just committed yourself. So now you're in trouble. :D
