Playing at the Casino near Charleston WV yesterday and got felted. I've replayed this hand many times in my head and think I know where it wrong but wanted to get some advice from cash game players on here.
Some history first. I'm at 1/2 NL table. Everyone at the table knows each other except me. I played pretty well up to this point (tight aggressive) but I sense the table is ganging up on me. The villian is tricky and very aggressive. He has shown 2 bluffs after the river with nothing, no pair, no draws. He's talking to friends about a high stakes game that he sat in with $1,500 and was shortest stack at the table. Also, he is waiting for a 2/4 game to open up. Early I caught a couple of hands and had position on him, and let him bet into me and I smoothed called all the way and reraised on the river. Twice later, he was out of position again and said that he wasn't going to be into me and tried to intice me into bets. He was giving reverse tells both verbally and nonverbally left and right and I was picking up on them.
Villian is UTG and limps, 1 other limper, I'm in middle position with QQ, I raise to $12. Two players behind call and villian and other limper make the call. Flop comes AQ7 rainbow. Two players check, I bet $25, I'm thinking I want a caller. All players fold except the Villian, he calls. Turn come a J. He leads out with a bet of $25. I think I need to know where I stand so I raise him to $100. He instantly pushes me allin for my remaining $132. I figure the worse case scenario is he has the straight and I have outs and think I'm pot commited, so I call. He has KT and I didn't hit the boat. All players and the dealer celebrate his victory![]()
