Monday and Wednesday are big nights at the Gemini. Most clubs get zero business on these nights.

Things I need if we play in the future:
1) I'm not paying a membership fee for 1 hu match
2) I can't be getting raked 4 bucks every half hour while I play
3) I need a dealer dealing. No self-dealing. I tip well.
4) You must rebuy if you drop below 50bbs at any point to at least 100bbs. Max buyin is 200bbs.
5) Nobody allowed to quit until at least 5hours in or until they are down at least 5 100bb buyins.
6) No straddeling
1) Membership is currently $1. This will last until the end of the week. But, just so you know, I'm more interested in signing up members than playing one heads up match. I'm inviting you over to look because I'm hoping you'll like what you see and want to come back one day. If you're telling me in advance that you just want to play once and never come back, then I'm not dying for the match. But listen, I like to play and I like to play heads up. If I'm free and you're there, we can play. I can't really do any better than that for you.
2) Time Usage would be $2 / half for a heads up match. Come with free sandwiches, pizza, drinks, etc...
3) There would be a dealer dealing, of course.
4) If I'm down 50bbs, that means I'm down at least $300, right? If I'm down that much money, I should be able to do what I want. I mean, how about if you show some courtesy towards the losing player?
6) Why are you so afraid of straddling?
I am interested in HU also but:
1) You must fold AA preflop.
2) You cannot raise me when you have position on me.
3) If I limp from the small blind you must check your option.
4) If I lose 50bbs you must give 25 of them back.
5) If I win you must wear a shirt that says "Property of Pokerbroker" for two weeks without laundering.
I'm not afraid of straddeling. Straddeling from the button in HU completely ruins the structure though. It's massively good to straddel if you can HU and correct strategy from big blind would be to fold almost every hand at that point. You won't see as many flopsss at that point which is no fun.

Has anyone been up to this place yet? If so, how was it? I called up a couple nights ago and they didn't have a no limit game going.
feedback would be nice
thanks
Alex, the club is very nice and most of the dealers are very good. They have security there and the food is good also.
I have heard there will be a 10/20 limit game going on Wed and that is from the players that will be there not from the club.
Action is a little slow but it it there. They will spread whatever game you want provided they have enough interests. Even when they don't have a NL game going they can probably get one fairly quickly as many people stop in and say call them when they get a NL table. Hang out for like 20 minutes and can probably have a 5 or 6 handed game started.
Currently going:
10-20 limit holdem
1-3 no limit hold em
both full
I thought the way all these Ohio clubs were getting around the whole 'poker is illegal in Ohio' thing was by not charging rake. I was under the impression that making these membership only clubs and not charging rake was what made the clubs legal here.Quote:
