So any reports??!?!?!?
Anyone go? Anyone know who won? How many players each event?
45 players for the Friday night rebuy. My boy Brian won the main event Saturday. there were 140 players. First place was $2900
35 players for friday rebuy, 108 rebuys.
116 player for main, IDK about last one because I left before that.
I bubbled the rebuy, but cleaned house in the cash game there.
I may have played with you in the rebuy. I took 8th with aq vs 99 and 22
Yeah, I was the one with the headphones and maroon hoodie. I was at your table when you got knocked out.
Hey thanks to everyone who came and played, sorry our turnout wasn't better. We had 111 in the Main Event.
We are working on some things for a tournament in April WITH DEALERS! I have the information posted on the website, it's a rather large buy-in with multiple Satellites called "Qualifying Satellites."
Check out the details at www.ohiopokerchampionship.info, this isn't official yet, but I've made the information available for opinions.
We think having DEALERS at the tournament would be HUGE! No one likes to play self dealt tourneys.
Need Input... Thanks All.
Eliminate the two decks as well, it doesnt speed the game up. Also alot of the guys I went with also felt the ante structure was too steep. just copy the antes used on Full tilt or stars and that would work great. We brought about 15 from Cleveland and can probably bring 10 to 15 more, everyone felt the staff did a very good job running things. Thanks.
Thanks Colin. Yes, now that we will have dealers, we will be back to 1 deck. As far as the structure of the tournament, the antes being steep is something I haven't heard before. In my opinion, steep antes if that's what they are, will favor online players, as we are generally more aggressive. I'd take advantage of the ante structure, most of the players are old men at our tournaments. Nonetheless, I will analyze the structure and compare. Thanks again for playing, what do you think of the new tournament on the website?
The new tournament looks solid. The only thing we thought was weird was that the antes were 100 for three levels, then 200, then 500. I mean I dont mind as you are right as most people at my table wouldnt put chips in the pot ever, it favored me and my crew for sure as chip accumulation was relatively easy. No complaints, we thought it was very solid and well run and we will definitely be back. The average stack had 30 to 40 BB through the entire final table which tells me the structure worked well. By the way, the action at the 2/5 round by round game was absolutely sick.
