    $30 + 10 Wheeling Daily 10am Tourney

I hadn't seen a report, and the details aren't on the Wheeling website, so I thought I'd drop some facts...

Don't drive out just to enter, but if you're making a day of it, start early and hit their morning tourney. It runs Su-Fri, averages 30 players and serves as a good warm-up to juicy cash games. The tourney was well-run and the pay-outs weren't too flat. The competition was below average to average. I was clearly the best...seriously.

Starting stack is 2,000, blinds start at 25/50 and levels last 20 minutes.

I went on Wednesday..."Senior Day"...and the action in the room afterwards was excellent. Unfortunately, I had to leave just before they started the 2/4 Omaha Hi/Lo.

If you have the chance to play it, drop a line to tell me what you think

Not a big fan of the Wheeling tournaments....

They withhold taxes, and will guarantee a prize pool, but switch it at the last minute.

Terribly run for tournaments. Cash game seems juicy enough.... lots of inexperienced players in the $1/$2 on the days I've been. Both of them...

We must believe in luck. For how else can we explain the success of those we don't like.

    Hmmm....

I've heard that too, but I was impressed with their organization. Seems to me that over time they have improved. I did hear that previously their payouts were too flat and the directors seemed lost. But, our director was very adept and the payouts were much more indicative of a $40 casino tourney (no more than top 10%).

    I thought it was fine...

    You ARE the best!

I would love to play the Omaha8 game.
