Ok, I'll start with a disclaimer: If you decide to get a membership to the Gemini Club, do some research first into the club and its 'rake free' aspect. I am not recommending one way or the other, just wanted to share a recent experience. Note: They do require membership ($10 for three months or $25 for a year) and a daily club 'use fee' which for tournament play is $10 (waived for first time members that sign up for a year).
With that said, I had a nice cash out there yesterday night (Fri.). It was a $100 tournament. I believe there was 40 or 41 players. I made it all the way to heads up play with a slight chip lead. It was about 1am and blinds were 2500 and 5000. Since we both only had about 14 times the BB, it could easily go either way, so we decided to chop for $1345 each.I also picked up an additional $60 when I hit a high hand of quad 10's about half way through the tournament and remained the best until the end of the tourney.
