Thanks for posting the info. Me and a buddy came up and played in the mega satellite for the freeze-out. $40 buyin to win a $160 voucher with 25% of the field winning a seat. In otherwords... no rake. I thought that was a pretty smart thing for you guys to do.
However, I've noticed something different about the upcoming mega satellite.
Your website states the mega is a $40 buyin to win a $100 seat w/ 25% of the entries winning a seat.
So for example:
60 players @ $40 = $2400
60 players @ 25% = 15 players winning a seat
15 players X $100 = $1500
$2400 - $1500 = $900 rake or 37.5% cut for the charity.
On top of that, the charity is going to cut 25% out of the $100 voucher for the main tourny. That's a total of 53% of the 2400 from the satellite raked. Dude, for real, I'm not trying to be an asshole here but if that isn't a raw deal then I don't know what is.
Please tell me there's a mistake somewhere...

I ended up finishing somewhere around 64 out of the 362 that showed up this year. I was hoping to make to the top 36 but my pocket 10's didn't hold up. I was a little disappointed at turnaround this year but I suppose that's to be expected with the economy and all.
The only issue I had this year was that the add-on could only be purchased during the break instead of anytime before and during the tourney. I had to spent the first 15 minutes of the break just waiting at my table to purchase my add-on.
39 left at the start of day two. I'm sitting with 682,000. Are there any other bad beaters out there?
What? Did they actually stop play at midnight? Why wouldn't they just play until everyone reached the money.
yes they did stop at midnight not only that it was half way through the blinds 3 away from the money
i was able to chop for first place for 6000 i also got some good money from a tournament last longer bet. mYself and one other guy got 6000 and the other 5 people got 4700. averge stack on had 5 bb so i thought it was time to chop.
i really want to think kim music. when i was finished at mid night we had to be back at noon today and she used some of reward points to get me a room at a really nice hotel. the extra rest was priceless for todays 7 and ahalf hours of poker after yesterdays 12 hours
also want to think chuck and kim for staying around to rail me for some of the day today.

14th... I had a good stack and a great table but just couldn't get things to go my way.

I was just thinking, we're trying to get the website out there, I think it would be a good thing if the players who get to play in these events had some t-shirts or at least a patch or hat they could wear...I know we're forming a committee to put things together, but thought i would just throw that out there.
As for the cash, SAAAWEEEEET. Good job man, great showing.
