    www.BadBeatsPoker.net Online League

We run two private online tournaments on Full Tilt every Wednesday evening. One is a freezeout and the other a knockout tournament. Any member of this message forum is welcome to play in either or both games. In order to locate the tournaments, click the "Private" tab in the tournament lobby. The password for both games is 'donkey'.

Of the $22 buy-in for our knockout tournament, $16 of that will be going to the main prize pool and $4 will go to the knockout bounties. For the freezeout tournament, the buy-in is $22, and $20 goes toward the prize pool.

The payout structure for our tournaments is the standard 9 handed payout structure and it is possible to view the percentage payouts on this link:

    http://www.fulltiltpoker.com/tourPayout9Hand.php

We've gone ahead and set up a points/ranking system and will try to keep it current in this thread.

Each week, we'll give points using this system:

First place = 1.0 point per player, so 16 players will be worth 16.0 points
Second place = 0.9 point per player, so 16 players will be worth 14.4 points
    ...
    ...
    ...
Tenth place (final table bubble) = 0.1 point per player, so 16 players would be worth 1.6 points.

We only include a player's best game each week. That way people who only want to play one game each week aren't handicapped too much compared to the multi-tablers among us.

Also, any player who cashes in both online games on the same night gets a 50% points bonus. This is derived from Full Tilt's Daily Double concept.

Anyone else notice that this was the first week that the Nutini's can join our lil' online party and they finish in EXACTLY the same position with EXACTLY the same amount of points.... Coincidence?

hmmmmmmmm or is there another C word in effect....

Well, you know what they say Dana.... "The smeller is the feller." or maybe "the squeeler is the dealer"?

I seem the recall a mystery gentleman by the name of Mark from a town far, far away in which his chips were "conveniently" shipped in a location somewhere near Miss Dana's online lap.

I think we are going to need a birth certificate of said, Mark character so that we know that you are legit. LOL!!!

I think one tweak/opinion to the scoring system, which is already very nice. Would be to maybe allow bonus points to say the people that make the top five in both games for that week.. This however will effect the individuals that don't play in both events, which recently doesn't appear to be many if any... So just a suggestion but say take the top five from both games for a given week.. and if someone made both top fives they would add a point or two for each spot... So here is an example:

    Player A---- January 8th 2020

Game A--- 5TH Place this will be a bonus point score- 5thx2pts=10 bonus
Game B--- 3RD Place this game will count towards the main total

Not sure if this makes any sense.

An added bonus would be that it promotes playing in both games.. Sort of like the Daily Double on Full Tilt...
