December 2nd Deep Stack Poker Tournament

Sunday December 2nd starting at noon a few of us (myself, Bulldog, JT, and a couple others) are running a Deep Stack tournament at an old fire hall near campus.

We are going to get 10 tables in the hall and shoot for 100 players.

Entry Fee is $60 ($5 goes toward food and drinks brought in...I am thinking City BBQ and some pizza or party subs and stuff to drink....you will get your moneys worth)

10,000 starting chips and 35 minute levels.....the structure is intended to last a good 10-11 hours.....but we must be out by midnight.

Cash games will start as tournament tables break.

If you are interested....respond to this thread or shoot me an email at [email protected]

I just wanted to say thanks to everyone involved with this event. It was very well run, and I'll definitely be back for the next one.

Yes, major props go to Bulldog, D-Nut, and the many others who worked very hard to make this tourney the great time that it was. The food was great, the venue was surprisingly really nice (for being in that part of town), and the game itself was run as professionally as any I've played in.

I didn't have AA once the whole game...I'm thinking that's a good thing.

The bastards may as well have been 9-4o, eh boys?

p.s. - it'd be neat to see a list of the people who made the final table, and the payouts for each spot.

Hey no problem guys. Bulldog and I enjoyed putting it on, and we were just glad it worked out well.

It turns out that the guy who has access to the hall (Jon Taylor) asked when we wanted it again. Apparently, Sundays are really never a problem (Saturdays are usually locked up). So I told him that we would probably like to organize something maybe quarterly. We'd do it more often, but it is a pain in the ass toting the tables from my place and Bulldog's place to the hall. We were thinking about doing another one in late Feb or early March, so I will keep everyone posted.

Shea, great playing! I was glad to see that you won. Last thing I wanted to see was one of the many donks there to goon their way through the entire field and take home the money.

Scott, we used Bulldog's laptop, so I am sure he could go in and find the final table and the cash spots for you. Shouldn't be a problem.

Congratulations on your win Shea! Also congratulations to Ben Suver for fifth place, and Jeff Gray for making the final table.

Those are all the final table results I've heard so far...

That's all the faces I can remember from our circle, the final 3 I faced were strangers to me. That's probably a good thing too. Most of you guys wouldn't have bought my bullshit =D.
