Hi all,
It has been a while since I've been here. I wanted to ask one simple question:
Is there ever a way to be on the 'good' side of variance?
I don't want to sound like a typical losing player. I've managed to change my viewpoint from such, but just need to know about this tiny (yet epic) topic of variance.
I understand the concept of variance, in that it swings from good to bad and vice versa. Other than playing well overall, is there a way to keep in the best side of variance, or is it virtually impossible as it is a randomly generated number that you have absolute no control over (despite having say, AA vs 55 and have the villain river a straight, for example sake).
Much appreciated if someone could explain the numbers to me!
I know its like a variance curve. Is there any way to stay in the middle/ far right?
This is to take into account the following constants:
All players on the table are of EQUAL strength and play
All players can play cards well.
You know what? The more I type, the more things seem to be clearer...whats your view guys? Need someone to confirm on site.
Many thanks
M
pps- i think i hit a eureka moment. But anyways, please help
