Lightbulb Sit N Go Books & More

I have never had much desire to read books about poker, but I have finally changed my ways. I have read most of your basic books in the past (Super System 1 and 2, a few of the Harrington books, and Barry Greenstein's book). I am primarily a SNG player, and in the past few weeks I have read the 3 best books on SNG/Multi-table games that I have ever read.

    1. SNG strategy by Collin Moshman
This is a must-read for your typical SNG player. Very easy concepts to grip. This is a great book to get you started. It helped me plug a few leaks in my game that I have been noticing.

    2. Kill Phil by Blair Rodman and Lee Nelson
Another must read for tourney players. This book goes a little deeper than the first book I listed. I would call this one another must read as well.

    3. Kill Everyone by Lee Nelson
The sequel to the above. These two books tie together experience, math and even more advance strategies than your average book.

I have found that in the past few months of doing more reading that my game has evolved exponentially. You can even get the Moshman book from the Full Tilt store too (8100 FTP's).

I had never heard of the last two until about two months ago. I gave Kill Phil a try on the advise of a friend, and it was probably one of the best decisions I have made in my studies. With the kind of volume that we tend to play online, I think these were some of the best investments that I have made to aid my poker playing ability. Try Kill Phil first. If it works out for you, then move on to Kill Everyone. I know that not all books can help everyone, but I can say that I am very satisfied with the results I have since reading them

Haven't read the last 2 here but have read Moshmann's book and would recommend it to anyone who is getting into SNG's or who plays them but isn't winning.

After trying my best with finding some good poker tips online, I ordered Hansen's book as well as Negreanu's Book. Has anyone read them yet and could give me some information? Thank you very much in advance.

Paul here is a link to a thread on Hansen's book... I finished it and thought it was awesome... To follow a top player from beginning to end and read his theory of other players and style for that part of the event was truly remarkable... I have not however read Kid Poker's book. I heard some bad things about it but who knows it might be a great book..

The best poker book that I have ever read though has to be Harrington on Holdem Volumes 1-3..

Personally I was very disappointed with Daniel's newest book. So much of it just seemed like wasted space... obviously trying to cater to a target market that included anything from complete tourney noobs to other's hoping to gain more insight into his SmallBall style of play.
The SmallBall portion of the book, Daniel's section, (the rest of the book is by other contributing authors) is pretty good,... the rest of the book kinda sucks.

Personally I didn't really like Gus' book all that much either (even though I finished reading it 2days after purchasing it). It was okay... I suppose I was expecting alot more from it.

I've read many books and there are others I would recommend far above these two. Also, I thought this thread was about "Sit N Go Books"??
