Red face Lost a hundred dollar pot to my teenage daughter

This is one of my favorite poker stories of all time, even though I lost the hand.

We were playing in a small cash game on Saturday night, when my daughter who was 13 at the time asked if she could have her weekly allowance a day early so she could get into the poker game. I handed her a $20 bill and she pulled up a chair. After a while she had worked her way up to $50 when the following hand came up...

She was in the small blind and raised. I was in the big blind and called with:

    The flop came:

She raised, I re-raised, she re-raised and then I called.

The turn and river were both blanks, with each of us betting, raising and re-raising all the way to the river until the pot was over a hundred dollars. When it was time for a showdown, I explained to her how important it was to be a good sport, accept your losses with dignity, etc. She said, 'I know all that Dad, but I have you beat'. Then I sat there in stunned silence as she turned over her cards:

We had both flopped full houses from the blinds! She then cashed out immediately, while I had to play for two more hours just to break even. That's certainly the most memorable hand I've ever played.

It was an interesting turn of events for sure. I'm glad I was able to be there to see it.

    wow

You lost 50 dollars to your daughter but that story was priceless. On a side not i feel bad beating my 13 old brother in chess for no money and Scott is raising his daughter in a cash game.

this is classic, this post should be stickied, as a reminder to all of us parents, to not under estimate our offspring, instead use them to suck all our friends dry of thier hard earned money!!!
Go all in pre-flop? I am always going to call you down with this.

And no sooner said, you had an opportunity to demonstrate how!
