    Sunday Million

I normally dont ever play on poker stars but a friend of mine has had a sunday million ticket on his account for awhile and he doesnt play tournaments so he's giving it to me to use and i get 50% what I make.....now I have played the 750k on full tilt a few times but I know that the sunday million is a very unique beast and was wondering if any of you who have played it before have any advice specifically for this tournament. I know that the structure is different than most of their tournaments and obviously the size of the field is ridiculous, so i was wondering what adjustments i should make to take that in to consideration

I have only played in it once so far but I have a few thoughts that may or may not help... Although you start with a huge stack the blinds move up fast and the play is a little out of control for my taste...

Last Sunday I played and ended up 1600ish out of 7100... I felt good with my overall play but I needed to have built a bigger stack early to make it deep in this event... At around 4000 players it became an all in fest and I was moved several times, so it wasn't just one or two tables that were playing this way... The blinds are long (15min) but the rate they go up is a problem.. I now prefer the 750k over this event but it was still a blast to play 7000 players...

So my advice would be to go big early trying to get the most out of your big hands.. I too often bet people out with my larger hands in this event and it hurt me late.. I should have slow played a few of them even if it put me in jeopardy... GO BIG OR GO HOME...

GL FELLOW BADBEATER.. Lets us know how you did...

its very important to build a stack early

play lots of hands with the fish while blinds are low

tighten up for period where blinds are 200/400 until when antes kick in then start stealing blinds

    profit

unfortunately i decided to take a nap before the sunday million and woke up shortly after registration closed....so I used the ticket to play in the second chance tournament....i got 168th out of 1300 153 gettin paid....lost a huge pot where i had 88's vs two allin players who both had AK and if i won that pot i would have been top 5 in chips instead im crippled and get it in with A7 on an As10d4d board against QdJd and couldn't fade the flush or the straight so i finished 12 from the money sadly but im going to try and play the million next week
