I really have to say I was blindsided by this one. I did not think he was flatting me on the flop with a 7. Is this a stupid play on my part? I really thought he had overs or a flush draw or something like that, and with the pot already fairly large, I wanted to either end he hand or make him p[ay to catch up.

why not? You can def put him on a set smooth calling you there. its not like everyone has 1500 chips most got over 3k. The total re raise was 160 preflop. With 4 callers. Its easy that someone can have a small set of a 7. WHen the turn comes another 7 i usually check see what he does. If he pushes there a number of hands that have you beat. 33 44 straight any 7 to many hands that the only way ure getting called is you wayyy behind for that many chips. Put in what 100 BB with one pair. Usually not a good idea this early.

Well, to be fair, my shove was "only" 60 BB... But yeah, I definitely see your point. He could easily have flopped a set and turned a boat, I suppose he could have flopped a straight.

I expect top pair to raise me on the flop though, since the top pair is a weak one and might be awkward to play after the flop.

Should I have reraised pre flop? What does it mean when people make that idiotic mini reraise into a field? Is he just set mining and building the pot in case he hits?

If he is some fool doing it with QQ+, I risk losing the chance to crack his hand for a big pot if I flop a set of 9s. It's hard for me to put the mini reraiser on a hand because so many people do so many stupid things there.
