I think it is pretty easy to beat the $10 tourneys but beating the higher buy in games require different skills sets and deal with some better players.
If you compare mtts to chess at the $10 buy ins players are thinking 1 or 2 moves ahead, all most do is look at their cards.
This is why I easily beat the $10 games.
At higher buy ins many of the players are unimaginative like the $10 games, but their are more good players who will give you trouble and 3bet you light and if you fold a couple of times they will pick on you. Just because I can beat $75 45s does not mean I beat $75 mtts.
My winning 45 game does not equal my winning 90 man knockout game.
Also your flaws are more pronounced in mtts, if you make a bad play in a 45 it is not as big of a deal, you can still overcome it. But if you make a mistake late in an mtt that mistake could cost thousands of dollars or 100s of buy ins.
