I'm curious to hear people's thoughts on this spot. Obviously Pimp and Throwinphins are very good, what do you think their ranges are here?

How much does our calling range widen due to the fact that if we call and win we knock out our two toughest opponents heading into the final table?

If I have aces I usually flip a coin, that way I can't make the wrong decision.

Pimpinkdonks range is suuuuuuper wide IMO. Almost atc. Throwingphins recognizes this so I still feel his range is fairly wide as well. I'm calling with TT+, AQ, AK.

77+ AQ+ are good for both ranges , btw vs only Pimpin i think 22+ JTs+ are good

Is phins really on 77+AQo with people behind?? If I take 77/88 or especially AQo out of his range, it becomes neg ev to call w/ TT.

I can def see widening up pimpindonks's range quite a bit. But, phins def has to be this wide to make TT a call,right?
I would have been more inclined to guess JJ+AK++ or even QQ+AK+ as a calling range. What kind of +ev are you (anyone) usually looking for in a spot like this to risk 1/2 stack? TT seems a lil thin, but I'm very curious to hear people's opinions.

Mighty interesting spot for sure. Especially given that if you win, you take out two super tough opponents right before the final table, AND you have all the chips. A good situation for sure. :)

I agree that the first shove by an excellent player is likely to be almost any two cards. The table is short-handed, and many players hate calling off most of their chips on the final table bubble. The second shover is also an excellent player and he recognizes what the initial shover is thinking.

The problem is that it's tough to beat one random hand, and a better than random hand at the same time. So my calling range here would be tighter than most. I am leaning towards A-A, K-K, Q-Q, J-J, A-K and maybe A-Q.

That seems about right to me. I'd prob have a tough time folding AQs+ given the specifics mentioned, but TT seems like a fold imho. Pretty close anyway. Extremely interesting when u add in taking both out, having all the chips,etc.
Just taking out those 2 killers has to seriously add to your equity. :D
