I just want to say thank you to EVERYONE on this site!!!! I have been around for about a month lurking and some posting, and I feel that I am learning a great deal of knowledge every day!!!

Two days ago I started playing with the remaining 11 bucks and change that has been in my stars account for some time. After reading and re reading the bankroll posts, Chris Ferguson's bankroll rules, as well as getting PT3, I have boosted my little BR all the way up to 68 bucks and change.

I know it has only been 2 days and I don't have any hand sample sizing or tournament history to back up a complete change in my game, But I feel as if a light bulb as been turned on........I have been playing for a very long time live at the casino and home games and never given much thought to position betting ect ect. After reading post upon post here, I feel That I am learning the game in a different light now! I know I still have a great deal to learn, as I don't think you can ever learn everything there is to learn about this great game called poker.

I just wanted to tell EVERYONE thank you!!!! I am very glad I stumbled upon this forum!!!

I found you off a search engine......I wanted to get better, tried the free 24 hour subscription to Daniel N.'s site and watched a few videos on there....and really didn't have a clue what the heck they were talking about, so I started looking.....I found several forums....pocket 5's, full contact, ect ect. Then found you guys......

I like bad beats hands down among all of the others......seems like pple here are friendly and willing to help.....as everywhere else all they want to do is fight with each other over very trivial stuff. Most of the other forums I have found to be "gossip" and not about the game and getting better, dont get me wrong I am sure there are really good ones out there, but I found you guys first! And I am happy i did!

I agree, I find this forum to be 10x better than P5's, mostly because all the other forums are so cocky and arrogant. There is alot of great information on this forum, but I think the best thing is that itkeeps your poker mind running, rather than getting into a rutt and doing the same plays.

This might be a redundant question to ask, but is there ever any tournaments on stars or full tilt strictly for badbeatspoker.net members????? Maybe something that EVERYONE could play in like a 5 buck buyin???

Got to agree this site is superb, i joined a few weeks back after being at a final table with Dr Fill good and Vestik.

Dont know what is was but those guys had a edge, id never heard of them before (probably because i was playing above my bankroll ) but it was just something about how they played.

Looked up there names on google and it brought me here, best thing that could have happened.

Best bit of advice i could give anyone is rail some of the guys from here in the 45/90 seat, ive spent a good few hours watching them and you learn so much.

Had a great day for me so far and up $350 and reckon thats by watching these guys.

Special mention for Mi_Turtle as well who is just a freak - meant as a compliment.


Great site and tones of great posters (to many to mention) and like you say very friendly and not stuck up there own arse like some forums.

We normally have a monthly challenge that consist of all buy ins levels and we occasionally have a Private semi-freeroll or a BBP league..

BUSTO.....2 hours and busto.....Had some distractions here at the house....pple calling alot, wife not happy I was playing cards....I wasnt in a very good frame of mind, shoulda quit.....started tiling.....lost it all....I suck.

yep its bound to come man so be ready.. im on a 3week downswing where ive lost bout half my roll and had to drop down 2 limits.. and its been VERY VERY VERY depressing and very hard to deal with.. just seems eveyrtime i get my money in i have best hand and lose .. so dont wana be negative man but be ready for it.. and KNOW that if you do start to lose go back lower to where you started..
But i also agree with you .,, ive been playing bout 6-7years mostly casinos and playign like shiit online but since joining this site i too have also learned very very much more about situations that i thought i already knew.. this is by far the best site on the net and filled wiht the best advice available..
And the greatest thing is that all the greatest players are members here and not shy or too cocky to share their "secrets" and intelligence about the game..
Good luck on your quest man your off to a GREAT start.. ive heard of sooo many players turning into millionairs off their 1st $50 deposit I hope your one of them man. .jsut remember to stay and stick to a good BR management i had been doing great sticking to mine until i tilted the other day and lost $700 of my $2k roll in one day playing out of my limit.. and if you have a bad day or couple bad sessions just take a few days off and come back ready to play 100%..
One more thing..read the threads about discipline, discipline is the key to building a good bankroll.. "KNOWING" when to get off and when to go due to any factor (losing, fighting wiht your girl, bad news at home,tired,hungry,) just anything that would cause you to not play 100%
