Just wondering as I have been playing for a guy on Stars lately. Does anyone else get staked there? And if so , has it ever been discussed on here? I am on PTP (not a plug) but just curious as to others experiences.

wow, i guess no one has any input? that's odd.............. do I smell? I showered today really!
cardsfan04 is a bigtime member there. I signed up so that I could invest in his BAP. Bad thing is, I got IG because someone thought I was being shady do to my old id showing up on Pocket Fives.
You might PM Cardsfan04 about the staking site he uses... I have only staked a few players in my poker career and have not had great results.. Good luck on your quest..
thanks guys, and I thought I had seen cardsfan there, wasn't sure. Chewy, you say he has a BAP there?
I may have to check into that! Might be a second income for a lowly trucker like me lol!
What is a bap? I might look into finding a backer soon for the next 4 - 5 months or so
His WSOP is closed. But if you pm him, he might sell you some of his personal shares.
Buy A Piece. Buying shares of a player. Go to parttimepoker.com, register, stake some people, build a good rep, then post your own request for stakes. Or build your rep by applying for micro stakes. Just be sure you have a clean profile first, i.e. no double accounts (2 at same site), or bad rep elsewhere.
Some guy I played hu on stars was offering to maybe stake me a few weeks ago. From what he said I don't know what the benifit of being staked is? You get to play higher stakes than if you weren't staked, but don't get the same reward for beating the bigger games. It seems like if you wanta get staked to play say 100nl 6max, if the person who is staking you is taking 50%, you might as well stake yourself, play 50nl instead, and win more money against weaker opponents.
Some people have the talent but not the roll. Or, the player may have horrible BR management skills, and recently went busto and not need start up capital. When agreeing to a stake, you have strict rules set up by the backer. Alot of times this will force the player to manage appropriately, and therefore get back on track. Also, being as this is FTOP season, someone like myself would love to take a shot at some of the bigger buy in events but dont want to assume the full risk, so they seek backers.
Well put Chew............ that is it in a nutshell. My backer is a freind of mine who knows my play well enough that he wants to move me higher and then possibly attack the big events on Sundays...... Being that I don't have that kind of jack, this is the way to test my mettle. And for the bigger tourneys, I kinda like the fact that I take it down and have an insta huge roll for the bigger games!
