I know that this is a very small sample size. But, I am beginning to think that there is something to it. Anyone have any thoughts why I am profitable in the massive field Tournies and a total donk in the SNG's?

Like you said the sample size is way to small.
So today I went 0-5 in 45's which netted me -$27.50
However, I went 1-3 in Scheduled Events netting me about +$59.00. These tournements had between 250 and 450 entrants, and 2 with rebuys.
EDIT....I went 2-3 in Scheduled Events.

I also agree with the sample size issue, but I might have a few thoughts on your present issue.
The 45's require game adjustments at different points, whereas the big MTT's do not if you are bottom cashing. Outside of getting unlucky or losing big races I can cash most of the time playing conservative in the deep MTT, but to win one or place high in the money in one of these events requires an aggressive style that could and will result in no cash.. The 45's are similar but require constant adjustment due to chip stack vs bb vs players left. You have to play with an avg stack at a full table, play big stack and short stacked at a short table and play "fold or all in" poker right before the money. This game runs you through all of the elements of a big game but in a much shorter period of time. If you can be consistent in the 45's you will have the basic tools to be successful when you run deep in a MTT.
Oops. I meant I went 2-3 in scheduled tournements.
