Thumbs up WSOP Main Event Final Table

Who wants to pick the winner, and/or get some side bets started?

Here are the seating arrangements and chip counts:

    Seat 1: Darvin Moon — 58,930,000
    Seat 2: James Akenhead — 6,800,000
    Seat 3: Phil Ivey — 9,765,000
    Seat 4: Kevin Schaffel — 12,390,000
    Seat 5: Steven Begleiter — 29,885,000
    Seat 6: Eric Buchman — 34,800,000
    Seat 7: Joseph Cada — 13,215,000
    Seat 8: Antoine Saout — 9,500,000
    Seat 9: Jeff Shulman — 19,580,000

p.s. - I'm still upset with myself for tilting away all my chips on Day #7. Extrapolating the 4.1 million I had with 50 players left, I potentially could have been sitting there at the final table with ~ 22.7 million.

Or if you didn't tilt, you could have been dealt AA and someone KK, got it all in pre and the flop comes KK2...or you could have been dealt kk vs a maniac who shoves aq with 50 bbs and you call to find they have aa. Or you could have hit a set vs a straight flush draw and lost.

Don't get down on yourself, you never know what could have happened. Tilting away tourneys is hard to accept, but wondering what "might have been" is unproductive unless it drives you to not tilt in the future...then wonder . When you went out, they played about 1.5 more DAYS of poker to get to the final table and anything could have happened.

We are very proud of you and you should be of yourself as well. Next time work on sucking out when you're tilting, that always helps

thats what i was thinking when i read his training thread first, then him with a bit of coaching. definatly bound to hit it big..

Scott i still tell people i know YOU someone who went out 40TH!! , such an impressive run in the "World Series of Poker Main Event" Sure you coulda done this or done that, but you also coulda bubbled. Amazing run, your my idol, one of these years i'll enter it, and if i make it half as far as you i will be blown away! WTG.

    Btw go Ivey..

This is gambling on gambling, but i'm curious, i'm sure there has to be, some sort of odds of xxx player winning vs xxx wagors in vegas, wonder what Ivey's oddz are compared to other similar stack sizes..

Anybody have a source for Vegas odds? I'd like to get some wagering going but not sure what to offer.

I'm just now watching ESPN's converage of the final table...

Question #1 - Why did Ivey shove over the top of Schulman's raise with pocket kings. Instead of scaring him off, shouldn't he try to get some action on what is likely to be his best hand of this final table?

I assume it's because Jeff had been playing so snug he had a hand that he would stack off with...he prolly read him as strong and willing to play for stacks...just a guess though...
