Exclamation Is it Donk Week on Full Tilt, or what???

    Sigh.

I have seen more ugly, horrible and laughable bad beats on FT ove the last week than I have in the last 3 months. Horrible players amassing huge stacks with garbage call after garbage call. I'm in awe.

I don't think it's just me...I've spoken to a few decent players, and they've said the same thing. Has anyone here noticed anything similar, or am I whiny and delusional???

Here's one from tonight (not that bad, but it's the only one I had the presence of mind to copy).

I agree, to a certain extent...
I can understand certain plays with relation to a player's chip stack.
But moronic plays such as the following boggle my mind:

Tailbash is on the button, all players have folded to him. He pushes, short stacked compared to the SB and me, the BB. SB folds. I call with AK suited.
    He has 79 os. Catches a 7.

And to answer your question, yeah I've been playing a few of them lately...up and down like a yoyo.

    How about you?

Pushing on the button when it folds around is the correct play with 79o if under 10BB...

You can almost never fault a player for being the one to cram the chips in especially when the stack size is under 100BB which it will almost alwys be in super turbo tournaments.
"You have it in your power to turn a bad-beat around simply by realizing this simple truth: The more bad beats you encounter, the luckier you are. It's a sign that you are playing against opponents who continually take the worst of it, and if you can't beat someone who always takes the worst of it, you can't beat anyone"

This past 2 weeks have been disgustingly bad for me with the bad beats. Everyone keeps telling me "you want those calls" "in the end you will win more often than not" "blah blah blah" horseshit I say.

AA vs QQ, KK vs Arag, QQ vs 99, 22 flopped set vs AA loses on the river etc.... It's to the point where I will have AA, call my buddy at work into my office and tell him that I am out of the tournament now. He watches the many different and unique hand combinations that always beat me and can't understand why I still play poker.

It is so frustrating to constantly be ahead, only to get sucked out on somehow. One hand in particular comes to mind AA vs poop truck offsuit, flop is A75, he shoves on the flop, exactly as I would want right? Wrong. I call.... turn 7, river 7. I was 99.98% favourite, and still lost.

Now I am just whining, bah too bad.

If u manage to somehow only get your money in good you probably aren't playing proper tournament strategy. Once you understand this you'll find that half the people you probably consider donkeys, are actually making plus EV plays. Getting AK beat by some trash a shortstack decided to move with(i don't care if it's 9-3os, he's still live) isn't a bad beat. There is ALOT of variance in tournaments, especially online. There isn't much you can do except keep playing, and hopefully making winning plays.
