Recently, after a pretty bad run of cards, plays and other money burning endeavours, my poker roll is now, for all intents and purposes, extinct. Over the past few years I've discovered, researched, practiced and played poker. With all of this work put in I was able to grind up a few thousand dollars playing online and live (at home games). I was able to enjoy some of my success, buying a laptop and some other stuff, and was really starting to enjoy this poker thing. I was reading alot of books, along with some 2plus2 stuff and was also introduced to this forum by Galactus X while playing on Full Tilt. I thought I had something solid going, but all did not go exactly as planned. I hit my "downswing", as it is commonly referred to, and things went south. Being still relatively new to the game there were some bankroll management issues, among other mistakes, that compounded my losing streak. I did alot of reflecting on what I was doing wrong, but in the end, it wasn't enough to save the rest of the roll I had built up.

Anyway, onto the purpose of this post. In this game, losing streaks are inherent, even a 19 year old like me can figure that out. But what I'd like to get out of this post was some advice from the players in this forum who are vastly more experienced than I, and who've already gone through what I am going through now. If anyone would like to give me some suggestions on rebuilding a bankroll from scratch, or what books / other things you guys found helpful in getting yourselves back to winning ways.

I also read the recent Ivan_Drago45 post, and thought that was a really cool accomplishment, and might try something like that. Anyway, if anyone would like to suggest any books, new approaches, challenges, etc I'm all ears and would really appreciate it. If not, I guess this post will just have to collect some dust. Thanks in advance to any and all replies.
