Using FPPs to build a bankroll.

If you play regularly at PokerStars, you earn Frequent Player Points for each dollar you spend in rake.

Although you can use this to buy books and other items, I use them to free-roll into tournaments. For 70 FPPs, I fire up four Satellite tables for the Sunday 100k guarantee tournament. They take about 20 minutes to play to the finish, and I expect to win these often.

I have placed in the money several times for three figures (4 figs soon?).

Otherwise, the tournament itself costs 11 dollars.

Satelliting will only make you a better player, and it costs you nothing. Playing Satellites has it's own dynamics, where the player who can play Full Ring, Short Handed, Short-stacked, and Heads Up proficiently will likely win. It does not hurt to learn how to play in each of these situations, as several concepts you may learn are more applicable than you may think at first.
