I'm trying to learn as much as I can about Limit Omaha Poker (High) There just ain't a lot of information out there. There's a helluva lot regarding pot limit and High Low.
Ive read everything I can and still searching everyday for something new.
I should tell you I gave up my Storage Auction Sales job. Not that it was a job or anything but not sure what else to call it. I'm guessin that the summer time in Vegas is not really a good time to be working outside. I'm an older guy you know, and hadnt a clue that the heat would affect me like it did, but affect me it did. It took hours recuperating from being outside in the monster heats and it seems i've lost a lot weight (over 10lbs) I am eating the same and feeling fine. Must be the heat draining my body. I did wear a hat and drank plenty of water but it was just to brutal. Oh by the way, it seems unemployment and my employer got their shit together and I should be getting my first check in a matter of days, should be a large one as I was laid off over 5 weeks ago.
We bought two units for 462.00 and sold everything we could for like 849.00 almost doubling our money over a 3 week period. I guess if you try to calculate the hourly wage you might laugh. It was alot of fun and I made a new friend, always happy about that. Back to Omaha
I decided to see if there was a difference in the amt of hands played in an hour between Orleans and Boulder and it seems to be about the same (around 24 an hour). The dealers at Boulder only deal at a table 20 mins while the ones at Orleans are for a half hour. You do see a lot more playable hands at High than High Low. I've counted them and avg about 7 hands per hour, which is way, way higher than High Low (waiting for ever on a ACE/DEUCE or ACE/THREE is an eternity). Without further ado.....Here are my hands I played. Which ones do you think I shouldnt have played?
AQJ5s, A889s, A236sBB, 9765, AK45s, 2345DS, JT98, AQ97s, KQT8, KQJ7, AQQJ, AAKJs, AJ46s, KK56, 8743, KQ89, A987s
As you can see all of the ace hands were suited, and they never hit the flush. I prolly should of stayed away from the 2345, KQJ7 though. CYA
