Okay, I didnt get the job, seems they took two people one having dental experience while the other is sales experienced. Turns out while waiting for the news I decided to apply at a few other places in mortgage banking. Turns out alot of companies have gone paperless (something I've been doing for awhile at my old job) The wife has been bugging me to get a job, she so into the security thing, I dont blame her to be honest with you. Currently with her new job and my unemployment we can make ends meet (barely).

Last week I got a call from a co. who I sent my resume, basically hired me on the spot subject to testing me on tax returns and appraisals. I was to then head to Atlanta for training. Apparently they coudnt move as fast as they said the would and I've been left hanging as this is a long holiday weekend. I do believe they are for real as another Uw applied and took their test and the hold up seems to be whether I could use that test or have another clean one be shipped to me. This job is performed remotely (working at home which is a big trend these days especially being paperless) The job is paid via piece work with the upside being 120-130 loans a month pushing a pay of 10K/mo.

Yesterday a good buddy of mine suggested to his employer I replace an underwriter who seems to be leaving, they too are paperless and works is remotely done. I sent my resume to my buddy and he decided to reformat it and make some changes. Wasnt sure what he did but I decided to really look at it and he addded that I did VA loans at my last job ( I didnt) I think this position is heavy VA underwriting which I am really really rusty at and not done for many years, though I could pick it up pretty quickly. This could be very embarrassing. Sorry for the non poker post guys.
