CW Buckeye

Since this is a really bad poker move, I thought I would put it here where very few can read it.

Today, I had a SCBU in the 10K rebuy. I had been playing great poker for the most part. Pretty tight, but still getting paid off on my big hands. I'm hovering between 7th and 11th for about two and a half hours.

The blinds have been rising, and I've had this guy across from me, that had been raising my blind EVERY SINGLE ROUND. I was begging for a hand to smack back at him.

Well, a good hand never came, so I took my 62 off and reraised him by just under the pot.

Of course he called, as I expected and the flop came 4c Kd Qd. With just over 5000 in the pot, I bet out 2500 and he just calls.

Hmmm... flush draw? straight draw? pair? set? Great. I'm sitting there with 62 off and he called. Well, the turn, a 3, actually gave me a gutshot straight draw. I figured he missed any draws he was on, so I bet out 4000 into a pot of 10000. This was also just about half his chips. I thought I was telling him that I obviously am ready to go all the way with you on this, so fold your draw. Well, he pushed in for his last 3800.

Now I'm sitting there thinking, how in the hell did I get almost half my chips into this pot with 6 high? And how in the hell do I call his bet? What can I beat? Is it possible he's got 52off? Yes, that was the ONLY hand I could beat.

4K to win 20K. One card to come. 4 outs. Now, I probably should have called here, but I didn't. I didn't really care about the odds at this point. I was looking at the fact that I had 10K left, and I have a better shot with that than I do with 6K. Plus, I don't want these guys to see this hand because I'm going to have to be stealing really soon.

Anyway, that was my SCBU/donkey move, which cost me all my chips a short time later.

I suck at this game.
