Flopped 2 pair at team event FT

Team event, final table. 6 players left (maybe 7?).

Blinds 500/1000/100, 4 players limp to see the flop, including me holding in the cut-off or button. I had been active recently, building a big stack to about 110k.

    Pot is ~5000. Flop comes:

Dave Sexton leads out for 3000. Hadn't played much with him but he seemed like a solid player. I raise to 17000. Folds around to Dave, who calls.

Pot is now ~39000. Turn is:

Dave leads out, pushing all-in for 25000.

What do you put Dave on? What should I do?

    Any two cards...

    Lol

I put him on the exact same hand as you, because he LOVES that hand
If you had more prior knowledge of Mr. Sexton, you would have realized that and insta-called (in my opinion).

I dont know this guy but I would put him on Ax where x is a small card and possibly they are both clubs.

Apparently this guy likes to play semi-connectors so the straight is possible, but I don't think he would call half his stack on just a straight draw. The straight and flush draw may be a little more likely.

A set is also a consideration and I would put it higher on the list than the straight. He could be pushing here to try to protect against the flush possibility.

At any rate, I would have a really hard time not calling here regardless of what he has. You are getting over 2 to 1 pot odds so you only need about a 30% chance of winning. Not to mention if you are behind right now you still have a 13% chance of hitting a boat.

Dave's gotta have 9-7 here, because it's his favorite hand and he's likely to think his two pair has you beat. But your two pair is higher, so definitely call.

I would say 10-8 off, no clubs. He flopped the open ended strait, made the nuts on the turn and wants to protect the hand in case of a flush draw. If he had 10c8c he would probably check and let you pot commit yourself before pushing in the rest of the money since he would be less worried about the flush, but if you were on the flush draw and semi bluffed onn the flop he doesn't want you drawing to the flush for free while he is sitting with the nut strait. Is there a correct answer?

BTW, my name is Josh and I just joined the forum yesterday. Glad to be here and looks like I could get addicted pretty quickly
