So Scott and I are playing the $32,000 guarantee on Full Tilt last night and we got put in an interesting dilemma.
With blinds at 300/600 with a 75 ante a very weak player opens on the button for 1,200. The previous hand he had done the same thing and showed down a QJ. So were sitting in the SB with a 14K stack andso I flex my muscle and tell Scott id like to 3 bet him. We make it 3,200 to go and the BB shoves all in for 8,200. The BB had repopped us before, however the only hand he had shown down was AA. The button folds and now were in an interesting dilemma. I hate our hand at this point but were getting about 2.6:1 on a call. Scott then turns to me and says those four dreaded words "Pat it's your decision". Now I know that if they don't have Aces you can't be worse than a 3:1 dog with an Ace. However I chose to fold and work with a manageable 10K stack and 16 BB instead of IMO getting it in bad, and being left with a much more difficult 7-8 BB range.
Any opinions or suggestions greatly appreciated.
