Talking Some of my HU hands

I posted this on deuces cracked so I might as well post it here too:

This is a headsup match on Carbonpoker.com. This hu match had a very aggressive nature to it I have about 20 interesting hands that I would like to post, but but my physics homework for tommorow is preventing my from putting them all up now. I have issues getting maximum value out of most of my hands even as strong as top pair. Even though I stacked this guy about 8 times this match I really think I missed a lot of marginal situations. Unfortunately, Carbon poker is really bad for hand history and I cannot tell you what the exact stack sizes were throughout the match, but it is safe to assume the effective stack size was about 200 dollars throughout the match, though sometimes we were deeper. Blinds were $1-$2. A little history for this match. I was just pounding him with aggresion. This guy was a regular, probabally not someone I would normally play. He is actually one of the better players on the site despite some of these hands and is one of the top 5 highest raked carbon players. He is used to playing his normal calling stations so I decided to just pound him with aggresion. I opened wide, cbet whenever I had an excuse to. Floated and bluffraised whenever I had any excuse. I threebet 77+ Aj+ any suited broadway, any suited connector, any suited one gapper, and any 2 cards whenever I thought it was a good spot, which is a lot of threebetting, and I was going to try to win every threebet pot. This guy liked to get to showdown with his acehighs, played his draws aggressively, and kept alternating between waiting for a big hand and fighting back my aggresion with some crazy maniacal aggresion of his own. His adjustments were really easy to spot.

    Bad float? Bad river bluff?
Pre Flop: ($2) Hero is BB with k4of spades
SB raises to $6, hero calls $4

Flop: ($12.00) qs th jh (2 players)
Hero checks, sb bets 8, hero calls 8

    Turn: ($28.00) 3d (2 players)
    Hero checks, sb checks

    River: ($28.00) 7 (2 players)
    BB bets 20, sb calls

Sb wins with two pair Jacks and 8s with jc 8d
    Final Pot: $67

Bad flop play? I have seen him try to get to showdown with his ace highs, I've been super aggresive with my threebetting and cbets. In fact, I have just 3bet 3 bb in a row. He let me barrel off a few times. I thought I had the best hand.

Pre Flop: ($2) Hero is SB with KJ of hearts
SB raises to $6, hero calls $4

    Flop: ($12.00) 8d 6c 3c (2 players)
BB checks, Hero bets $10, BB raises to 42, Hero raises to 128, BB Allin for 366.3 total, Hero calls

I think I played this horribly? The guy was kinda on tilt at this point. we were about $300 deep I think

Pre Flop: ($2) Hero is SB with AsTd
Hero raises to $6, BB raises to $16, hero calls

    Flop: ($12.00) 5d Ad Th (2 players)
BB bets 22, hero raises to 66, BB calls

    Turn: (164) 2h (2 players)
bbchecks , hero Bets 100, bb folds

The first hand I think your bluff play needed to be on the turn instead of the river, when I think it was obv that you had little to nothing.. Not a cash game player but I would have also fired on the flop with an open ender.. I don't like the check call.. I again think it makes your turn check and river bluff even more detectable.. Just my thoughts.. Since I don't play cash I might be off with the proper style, but for tourney play I would fire the flop and fire the turn and if called, I still have outs on the river, instead of check calling the flop, checking the turn and firing at the river with nothing.. Keep them coming and good luck at the tables..

Oh BTW how does he have two pair? I don't see the 8 anywhere?

Typo, that river was actually an 8. I wouldn't have had to type it up if carbon would fix the way they do hand history's.

I agree. The line I took was horrible on that river bluff. Add to that my timing tells and my bet sizing and any reasonable player woulda put me on a missed draw. I'm a donkey. At least I got some information on this guys style of play here.

Hand 1: I think it's just unlucky that he hit 2 pair on the river. There are a lot of other cards that could come that if you bluffed at he'd fold.

Hand 2: I can't criticize if you thought you had a read for this hand. We've all been wrong on big bluffs. What did he call with?

Hand 3: I think you played it well. It seems to me like he was on some kind of draw, maybe KQ/Jd, or 10xd. Maybe a weak A. I think your turn bet was a good size to make him pay based on his range of hands (the fold is what makes me think it was a draw).

Wow, how do you find out he is one of the top 5 raked players? Also I may bump into you at some point, Im $50nl 6seat at the moment but will soon be back to $100nl 6seat. Do you play any of these games?

Once a month they Carbon has this chip king freeroll for rakeback players where the starting stacksizes are determined by how much you raked for the prior month. I saw this guy, I forgot his name it was something like Dengalne or something, was top 5 in starting chip stack. I have played you before in 6max. I have quite a few notes on you. Just check your notes for me. If you have notes on me it should say something like crazy loose aggresive player who will throw in a reraise with any two cards and has no idea what he's doing but always gets lucky with his t7s

Thoughts on this hand? Same opponent. The guy is down about 5 buyins at this point. Tough river decision.

($2) Hero is BB with khqd
SB raises to $6, hero raises to $16, sb calls

    Flop: ($32.00) 8s 6c 6h (2 players)
    Hero bets $28, sb calls

    Turn: ($88.00) 6s (2 players)
Hero checks, sb bets 66, hero calls

    River: ($220.00) 7 (2 players)
BB bets $108.6 and is all in...

Different opponent. Earlier today. .5-1 blinds effective stacks were about 60. It's very obvious I played it bad. Laugh at how bad my failure to ship all in on flop was.
Pre Flop: ($1) Hero is sb with 8s9s
hero raises to $2.5, bb raises to $8, hero calls

    Flop: ($16.00) Ad 6s 7s (2 players)
Hero checks, sb bets $11, hero calls

    Turn: ($38.00) Qd (2 players)
SB bets 37.38 and is all in, Hero calls, SB shows 3d5d

    River: ($112.76) 8d (2 players)

BB wins the pot with Flush ace high

For hand 2, he actually was spazzing out with T7c and I stacked him there with king high. After that he started going on tilt.

You are certainly very aggresive, I dont have any notes on you though which is rare for me. I must have been playing too many tables when I faced you or you where showing down very little. You having many notes on me scares me a little, have you coloured me? My colours are shark(shark) Red(winning player) Orange(play him) Green (easy money) and fish(fish). Unfortunatly I dont have a colour for you either.

I should really be a red as I am a winning player, lol. I will add you as a friend and due to your in depth analasise on another thread you wont have to worry too much about playing me (not that you are). You will now be placed as a red at least. Unless the rest of the table is pretty average you are now one to avoid. But Im not afraid, lol. Your one note is now, dangerous aggresive player who is not afraid to push all in. I may see you soon.
