Lots of good discussion on this hand. I knew when this hand was over that it would make for a nice thread. It took me a while, but I reasoned through the hand and decided that he had to have flopped a set to raise my river value bet. And I realized that if I had flopped a set and turned a full house, this is exactly how I would play it too. So I folded face up and told him that I felt he had sixes or nines full. He was nice enough to show his pocket sixes, and I gained more confidence in my reads. Even the dealer commented that that was the most impressive fold he had seen that day, and believe me when I tell you that dealers almost never comment on people's play. :)
p.s. - I've made more big folds in the last two days than I have in the last six months of home games. And in almost every case my opponent has showed his cards and confirmed my read. I find it interesting that if I show a big fold, my opponent will almost always show how he had me crushed, almost like a mutual respect sort of thing...
