Hand play vs UTG+1 pf raise, early tournament stages

Ok, here's one from the Delware league that I thought I'd write up. FOr those of you that don't know, this is a 4 table event with 5k in starting chips and a buyin of $40. We're at about the 2nd blind level and I have ~ 6700 in chips. Villain is to my left with ~4k in chips. Villain had won some big pots earlier on pushing the action pf. I'd only been involved in about 4 pots at this point, winning all of them and not showing down.

Play this one from Villain's perspective...

Blinds 50/100, 10 handed

Charlton (UTG +1) raises to 400
Villain looks down at and cold calls.
Everyone else folds out.

Flop:

Charlton c-bets forT 625... then says, "oh... that was supposed to be 700, must have got the chips mixed up"

Villain...?

Whether or not you debate the call, what range of hands do you put Charlton on here and why?

And, I admit, this hand play probably won't spark that much discussion, as there isn't that much to contemplate, but hey, give yo' opinions anyway

Anyways.....with his bet putting now over half of his chips on this hand, I cant think that you would shove here with anything less than AA, KK, QQ or 78s. There is no logical draw for you to shove here, especially with very little fold equity....so I cant really put you on 9-10.

I cant really put you on a set here.....although if Chef had been aggressive like he has been lately, and with your aggressive image, you might have figured that leading out on a pale board like that would induce him to play back at you, committing all of his chips on a bad hand......so I guess that is highly likely if that was the case. But if that was your plan....I'd think that a smooth call of the reraise would have been your play.....but I dunno.

I guess I still say 7-8.

Dang, I thought that the chef reference might have made you think Chef... But no, wrong chef. I guess I shoulda just said a cook of scottish decent?
