what i want to know is, which line is optimal? I think c/f is too nitty, b/f is bad, c/c is weird, and maybe c/r is the best? this hand struck me as very awkward because although a pretty decent amount of money went in pre, we still have a significant amount behind (each of us about 3x pot) thoughts? fwiw, villain was running like 32/14 or something over a pretty small sample size. no reads really, had way too many tables up.

First off, i think should've played it a bit different. I'd make a continuation bet of about the same size he made and hope he doesnt call/shove. If he does, you're almost definetly loosing. You get the information you need.

You are out of position with a guy showing strength and a scary flop. Id fold in your spot.

Im having trouble putting him on any hands that we are beating... UTG+2 he raise/calls preflop, so we are behind any TT+ AK AQ KQ KJ KT JT on this flop and are only beating air and 55-99 QJ QT AJ AT... im giving him a wider range since you have a slight idea that he likes to play hands. If we check/shove, he is calling with the first set of hands and folding the 2nd half of hands (which we are way ahead of). Im more proned to check/shove here w QJ or QT. If you are willing to commit to this hand by check/shoving, i think you are better off check/calling down in this situation and letting him bet his 2nd half to try and push you off your hand since there isnt really any cards that will scare you on the turn.

Just know that by calling the flop, you are committed to this hand...especially against a "looser" player (even tho thats an initial read). If thats not something you feel comfortable with, then bet/folding might be a better option for you.... weak and not fun, but its about survival (and accumulation) but this seems to be a very iffy spot.

Check/Raise AI, minimize window, check email, if no beep in 30 seconds, close laptop proceed with day.

    lol, meant flat pre

c/c flop for pot control, but only after flat pre. As played, I'm torn, but I flat pre to keep awkward spots like this in smaller pots. You fold out so many hands you get value from by raising pre as well, but never a hand that beats you.

so you're saying i lead 1200 on the flop and fold to a shove? im not sure i see the reasoning behind that.

as played, I agree with check/shove, but it's tough to hope for him to be enough to make a shove reasonably sized.

well, i think there are a ton of Ax combos in the calling range, none of which is probably AK...i think a loose moran can easily make a stiff bet with AJ or AT here, QJ also. AQ is a disaster although im not sure he bets that stiff with it, KQ is really the only facepalm that he might have.
